Welcome to Safer Networking, if you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, it appears you have missed some important instructions our administrator has posted at the top of the forum, especially this: "BEFORE you POST" Mandatory Steps Before Requesting Assistance http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please read and follow all instructions and post all required logs or reports, anything less will slow your process.
Use "Post Reply" to post the information in the instructions and stay in the same topic.

Make sure you have reviewed and followed those instructions, you can hold the online antivirus scan unless I ask for it.

Are you having no other symptoms besides the desktop appearance? That sounds like Smitfraud but clues in the log make me think a Vundo infection where you would be getting popups trying to get you to buy rouge antivirus programs. Let do some investigating, but first, look at this information:

1) C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

2) C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_02\ <<< very out of date, see this:

Download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in Add Remove Programs.

3) http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php <<< download Smitfraudfix from here and follow ONLY these directions.

Search:
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

4) Return to HijackThis.exe and point your mouse at it and right click, then choose rename. Call it toolio.exe or whatever you wish. Restart the computer and post the C:\report.txt from Smitfraudfix and a new HJT log.
