HI! Do i have a malware in my pc? i keep recieving data over the internet

help! i keep revieving data and/or sending data over the internet eventhough no internet application is running.. i see the icon (the two computers) <btw whatis it called?> u see whenever u connect to the net.. it keeps on lighting.. (theres always a packet sent and recieved evnthough no itenet app.. is running.. do i have malware? what is yayaxur.dll and those other dll? y cant i see them and turn them off whenever i press crtl+alt+del? how can i turn them off?

help please.. thx alot..

Please follow the directions carefully:

1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

3) SystemGuardAlerter may block the changes we must makes, turn it off until you are done.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\svshost.dll <<< delete that file
Please be very careful, look at that file and make sure you delete svshost.dll (svs) and not a valid file that will be very near but will look like this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe (svc )

6) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Post a new HJT log, provide any information I requested and let me know how the computer is running.

Hi.. thx =) for the reply..

i browsed through some of the topics in the forum and i...

i ran kapersky and it found virus on my pc(i managed 2 remove some of the the infecteed files but i think i didnt manage to delete them all bcoz i cant find the delete button for infected files in kapersky online .. )

i downloaded another fix besides from vundofix.exe.. i think its
smitfraud.exe and i forgot the other.. (btw ..i cant find svshost.dll maybe it was deleted by one of the fixes?)

i also updated my java

and finally.. i found out that the constant internet acvtivity was gone.. it only reoccurs when i start utorrent(a bittorrent download manager) then after I terminate the program I still recieve packets (the networking icon lights up) even though im not using any internet apps.. i resolved this problem by turning of my dsl then reconnecting to my isp

i only notice that sumtimes whenever i go to a website i dont get to that website instead i get redirected to zedge.net

I am wonmdering why you posted and asked for help if you intended to do what you wanted to do? Having said that, as far as I can see, the HJT log is clean.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

thank u so much kelly =) i was waiting for a reply for 2 days but i didnt get any.. (i got a little tired of waiting)so i browsed through some of the archives and did some google searches.. and i did what the security experts told in this forum.. scan 4 virus and dowloaded the fixes they recommended and stuff i think i read some from shaba and you..

i also upadetd my java as u told me and i deleted the files u told me in hijack log and thats it thanks.. =D
