View Full Version : World Of Warcraft Keylogger
Hello, I believe I may have a World of Warcraft keylogger. I clicked on a link on the World of Warcraft forums which was later discovered to be a keylogger. The link brought me to an animated gif (which triggered the keylogger?). Anyways I could really use some help here guys. I've ran AVG, Spybot, and Ad-Aware. I just want an experts opinion because I have lost a World of Warcraft account in the past and I don't want to experience that again heh. Let me know if I should post a HJT report.

Hello Brian, have you resolved this issues yet? If not please review the above information so we are on the same page. You can wait on the online scan unless I request it. I don't know about any keylogger and one could be hidden from HJT but I do see this:

Which indicates you probably have a Vundo infection. Prevx may remove it for you, if you want me to look at it, I will need you to do this:
1) See this: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_10\ <<< Java is out of date, download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in Add Remove programs.
2) C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe <<< return there and rename HJT.exe, call it Heileg.exe or whatever you wish.
3) Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
Restart the computer and post the uninstall list and a new HJT log, please describe any sysmtoms, tell me all you can about this possible keylogger, and post any error messages you are receiving "word for word".
