Please read and follow the directions I posted, you can wait on the online scan until I ask for it. This is probably a Vundo infection...NOT Smitfraud. Before you start you have this issue to take care of:
1) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.

2) Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
3) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm
Once you get it moved, then rename HJT.exe, call it vtec91.exe or whatever you wish. Restart the computer and post the uninstall list and a new HJT log running one antivirus program.

thx for the replay. regarding virus program, all these time I thought I am only running one (avast). I have not used symantec virus program for the longest time and in "window add or remove programs" I don't see any symantec programs at all. do I just simply delete the folder or what else can I do?

Thank you. Right before I reply this, I ran spybot again and smitfraud is there yet again. You are right that popups are there sometimes wanting me to buy softwares, but also new IE lauches by itself displaying sites that I have not idea what it came from.

1) We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

2) Please understand these hackers can call there junk anything they wish. Vundofix may not know the files at first, but it will learn. You want to run the fix until you see all Vundo files say: "Has been deleted"
Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThislogin a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Did you restart the computer before you ran Vundofix? I have seen it a few times before. While we are on this subject, I will say I see the Java auto-updater running:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_01\bin\jusched.exe" and you can leave it run if you wish, but we have found it to be buggy and unreliable, plus a resource waster. I personally turn it off and update manually, your call.

Windows Defender will block the changes we must make, turn it off until you finish.

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Restart the computer and let me see a last HJT log for a final check. Let me know how the computer is running now.

Thanks for the HJT log, and it looks good:bigthumb: You should remove the tools we downloaded to use, the exception is ATF-Cleaner. It is a nice small tool and you may keep it if you wish. Let's clean System retore files and finish like this.
System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

If you want to run a good free trial to check for hidden junk, use this one with these instruction, delete or quarantine anything it finds and post the scan results if you have questions.
