Hey, everyone. Something happened the other day that started causing IE popups and even new tabs in Firefox. Yesterday while trying to figure it out, the computer started to bog down to a snail's pace from startup programs alone. After trying to read up on the suspects and taking action, it now seems beyond hope for my noob self.

I've tried vundofix, smitfraudfix, and the fix feature in spybot, have no idea where to go from here. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I'm Blade and I am going to try to help you with your problem. Please take a note of five things.


I will start working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine
The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.


Please download
VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4)
to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files,
click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing
Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer,
click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new
HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above
instructions starting from
Click the Scan for Vundo button when VundoFix appears at reboot.
