View Full Version : Help with system popups and other

Hi! Lately I've been having some problems with my computer, and I think that I have several different things in it. For example, my AntiVir always detects DLL files with really random names, and I keep getting popups for things like DaVinci and the such. I also have a problem with FireFox loading a page titled "Error Detected" for what I believe is related to SystemDoctor. Some help would be appreciated.

Here's my Hijackthis log:

As I thought, it is a Vundo infection, they can be tough to remove, so follow the directions carefully. Here is a little information about the junk:
http://www.networkworld.com/news/2007/030807-mystery-around-winfixer-slowly-unravels.html
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBUZHiKhsog
http://msmvps.com/blogs/spywaresucks/search.aspx?q=winfixer+msn
http://www.revenews.com/wayneporter/archives/adware-spyware-greynets/getting_the_fix_on_winfixer_aol_network_now/

Let's look at the Uninstall list first, since you have out of date Java. Have a look here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2 Very likely why you are infected.
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11
Uninstall those

ボクらの太陽DS ????????? <<< those your question marks? I have no idea what that could be, I would uninstall unless you know.

I don't know many of your programs, you should take a look and make sure you do.

1) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.

Please understand these hackers can call there junk anything they wish. Vundofix may not know the files at first, but it will learn. You want to run the fix until you see all Vundo files say: "Has been deleted"

2) Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThislogin a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com

(hold the report and HJT log until you finish)

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(some items may be gone, removed by Vundofix, just don't miss any)

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {A6E18E4F-8A76-435B-A9DF-BBB1C44E2328} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mljgf.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CACA7731-9C77-464A-B1B7-462281DD8164} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddcawut.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [setup] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\yrbehymo.dll",realset
O20 - Winlogon Notify: ddcawut - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ddcawut.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: mljgf - C:\WINDOWS\system32\mljgf.dll

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

4) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete this file:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\yrbehymo.dll <<< delete that file

(if you have any problems with it, use the tool in the link)

How to use the Delete on Reboot tool http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial42.html#delreb

5) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post the Vundofix report and a new HJT log.

Thanks

Great job:bigthumb:the HJT log looks clean of malware, how is the computer running?

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2001111912274039?Open&src=sec_doc_nam

If you want to run a good free trial to check for hidden junk, use this one with these instruction, delete or quarantine anything it finds and post the scan results if you have questions.

Wow, thanks for all the imformation. My computer's running very well now, all thanks to you

I'll go get the clean system restore files and run that check you recommend. The information sites seem to be good references, too!

Thanks again for your help! ;)
