I've run spybot (updated). Dr Fixit. Aproposfix. Nothing detects an issue. Please help. I posted a thread over in Spybot (sorry about that).

Since you posted no required online scan results, I have to assume you missed the instructions I posted above. I see no evidence of any malware in this log unless you want to consider McAfee? I was using VSO and when they tried to dump all of that junk on my computer, I took away my credit information. It could be it is taking all of that junk a long while to load, that is usually the reason for the cursor, I doubt it has anything to do with malware, which is where you have posted.
You have also not provided a lot of information, "Blinking hourglass..." does not tell me much. If the issue is not resolved, provide the results of one of the online scans and a new HJT log along with more information, especially any error messages "word for word".
