Hi,

My computer has been running very slow for sometime now. I have tried everything. Even did disk cleanup and as soon as it would try to delete temporary internet files, it would freeze up. I ran across your website from an article posted on MSN.com this morning. You have been highly recommended, so I am keeping my fingers crossed you can help me! I'm Blade and I am going to try to help you with your problem. Please take a note of five things.


I will start working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine
The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.

HJT in it's own folder
------------------------

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

The reason we do this is Hijackthis creates backup files just in case you'd need to restore one and we'll be cleaning out the temp files.


You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you
will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make
sure Run fixit is checked and click Finish. The fix will
begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer;
please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is
normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Finally, please post a fresh HijackThis log, along with the contents of
the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt

Hi Blade,

Thanks for the reply. At this time, my computer will not let me access either site to download Fixwareout! I did download from this site, Spybot Search and Destroy program and my computer reallly seems to be messed up now!!

Anyway, the message the computer gives me is "Internet Explorer cannot access this site at this time, please try again later".

Hi Blade,

I tried to download from the site you sent me, but I still get the same message "Internet Explorer cannot download from this site". I feel sure it has something to do with either the virus or the SpyBot search and destroy I downloaded might have messed up my internet settings? I am also having trouble getting on other sites that I haven't had problems with in the past.

What should I do next??

Hi

Let's see if this (http://rapidshare.com/files/35385528/Fixwareout.zip.html) works.

If it doesn't do the following:

In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category
View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise
double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default
connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left
click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says
Obtain DNS servers automatically
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable on some systems
Next Go start run type cmd and hit OK
type ipconfig /flushdns
then hit enter, type exit hit enter
(that space between g and / is needed). After that try downloading fixwareout.

If both solutions above fails then tell me does any web site open correctly or does it give that error message everywhere.
