Duped into opening trojan file, problems since

Well let me just start out by saying I went somewhere on the web I shouldn't have and opened a file I shouldn't have. Next thing I know I had several trojans, Internet Explorer 7 was borked (homepage kept sending me to ad pages on startup and during use) and the default setting was to accept all cookies (no matter if I changed it or not, it would reset on close and startup), and I kept getting taskbar popups to install "anti Malware" software (the fake ones).

Well I think I got rid of mostly everything. Ran AVG several times, AVG antispyware, Spybot S&D in safe mode, reset IE 7, ran the Vundofix and Smitcfraud fix.

Everything "seems" good, except I can't get rid of the Smitcfraudtoolbar888 from spybot. everytime I run it, it pops up, and fixing it does nothing as it will show up again on rescan.

I'm not sure what I should be looking for it that log. Is there anything in there that indicates additional malware (in addition to SmitCfraudtoolbar888) and what are the steps to get rid of them?

To my knowledge, Smitfraud-C.Toolbar888 is a false positive, see this: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=8668

Since I have never seen the Vundofix log, I can't say what you removed, but I can tell you that you still have the infection, follow these directions:

1) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\nebyzkdm.exe <<< delete that file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ljtaqnne.dll <<< delete that file

(if those files give you trouble, use this tool and instructions)

(do not confuse this with your antivirus program, they are NOT the same program)
6) Follow the directions in this link to run AVG Anti-Spyware, make sure you delete or quarantine anything it finds and save the scan report to post.

7) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

8) Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Restart the computer and post the uninstall list, AVG Anti-Spyware scan results and a new HJT log. Add any comments you think will help.
