hi nitefox,

i dont see anything in the log that looks like a trojan. is it mcafee thats finding it? spybot comping up clean? you can always do a online scan or two for another opinion:

F-secure scan:
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml

click on the "start scanning button"
after the ActiveX applet installs--,Click Full System Scan
Once the download completes,the scan will begin automatically.
The scan will take some time to finish.
When the scan completes, click the Automatic cleaning (recommended) button.

Panda ActiveScan

http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan.htm

* Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
* A new window will open...click the Check Now button
* Enter your Country
* Enter your State/Province
* Enter your e-mail address and click send (use a fake e-mail)
* Select either Home User or Company
* Click the big Scan Now button
* If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
* It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
* When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
* When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location.

thank you for replying so promptly, im sorry i couldnt get back to you sooner, i had a spot of trouble with my isp provider...

no my mcafee didnt come up with it, my mcafee did detect a PuP program which is now under quarentine...
i noticed my pc is infected with the BlackCore throjan by using Spybot Search and Destroy.

hi nitefox,

BlackCore throjan by using Spybot Search and Destroy

ok, have you tried running spy bot in safe mode?
to reach safe mode you would tap the f8 key during a computer restart. chose the first option safe mode.
did you try one of those online scans?

no, i havent tried it in safe mode, will attempt to do so now.
i am unable to use the online scan as i am unbale to remain connected to the internet for long as my isp is giving me alot of trouble and keeps kicking me off the net. thank you for your advice. i hope that it will resolve my problem.

thx again.
