Cannot open windows firewall

I cannot open windows firewall. When i do it says that the service cannot be displayed because the associated services are not running. But when i go into the services and try to start it, it wont let me. It says that it cannot start the service on the local computer, error 5, access denied. I've tried everything else suggested, can someone please help me.

i also forgot to mention that when i start my computer, a generic host win32 process error shows up. I am able to access my firewall before this shows up, but when i close it, windows firewall access becomes denied.

The only thing I see in the log is an out of date Java which would not be causing this issue, but can cause you to get a nasty infections, see this:

C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\ <<< out of date, download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in add remove programs.

I also see a firewall running: C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\Personal Firewall\kpf4ss.exe and you do not want two firewalls running at once. I don't know if trying to start it with the other one running can cause this issue.
