I believe I have a browser hijack - this "error message" keeps popping up redirecting me to a rogue software website (WinAntiVirus, etc...)
When I ran SpyBot - search and destroy, it came up with 60+ problems, including SmitFraud.C Toolbar888.

More information from before: Every once in a while, this command prompt window pops up for a brief 2 seconds - it appears just to be blank. My computer, especially my web browsers (both IE and Firefox) have been going way slower since this problem.

I understand you have read and followed the instructions, you have a nasty infection, here is some information about it for your benefit.

I am going to give you a lot of instructions at once, I am in no way rushing and suggest you take the time you need to follow the instructions carefully, those that do have few problems removing this junk.
I also suggest you keep the computer offline when you are not troubleshooting, the junk can download more.
1) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.
2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
3) We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.
Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.
Please understand these hackers can call there junk anything they wish. Vundofix may not know the files at first, but it will learn. You want to run the fix until you see all Vundo files say: "Has been deleted"
4) Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThislogin a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.
If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com
(save the report and HJT log until you finish)
5) How to use the Delete on Reboot tool

Start Hijackthis
Click on the Config button
Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the button labeled Delete a file on reboot...
A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzoa32.dll and click on it once, and then click on the Open button.
You will now be asked if you would like to reboot your computer to delete the file. Click on the Yes button if you would like to reboot now.
6) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:
(some items may be gone, removed by Vundofix, don't be concerned)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
7) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ittjdjaw.dll <<< delete that file
(if either of those files gives you problems, use this tool on them)

8) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Restart the computer and post the Vundifix report and a new HJT log.

Let's finish like this: System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

This is optional if you wish a second opinion for WD.
If you want to run a good free trial to check for hidden junk, use this one with these instruction, delete or quarantine anything it finds and post the scan results if you have questions.

Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

There is one more issue I would like to address. After scanning with Spybot SD, there is one tracking cookie left. I have installed SpywareBlaster and Hosts, do you think it is a problem that needs to be fixed? The cookie name is: "FastClick: Tracking cookie (Firefox: default)". Spybot cannot destroy it permanently.

Using that information, individual website cookies can be blocked.
If Spybot is up to date and fully immunized, and you are correctly removing the cookie when it is located, then I would assume you are returning to a website that places that cookie often. This is not unusual, and that is not an unusual cookie. If you do not block them, many websites place them. In my case I allow no cookies to be placed on my computer except the ones I need for secure sites, passwords, etc. I block all others, at times sites need cookies to provide their service.
