(posting this problem on http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=6424#post6424 )
hi,
My system is XP home Sp1, with AVG, Spypot, Spywareblaster, ZoneAlarm and Pop-up stopper.
Today, I have found a Vcodec->Data C:Windows\System32\ncompat.tlb on Spybot and trying to remove it at boot up but somehow it re-install itself.
Use couple of online-virus scan showing the problem files
c:\windows\system32\ldxxxx.tmp <- file name changes with the xxxx
c:\windows\system32\mscornet.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MANCHINE\Software\Microsoft\Window\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\run "wininet.dll=mscornet.exe"
I have tried to delete the files but can't because it claim its being accessed. Delete the the registry entry doesnt work because it recreate itself. I dont get any website redirection. Please tell me how to get ridoff them. How dangerous is this to my system and data?
Many thanks.
