smitfraud-c help

So i ran spybot and found a crapload of spyware, it fixed all but smitfraud-c, even after countless attempts at rebooting and after updating spybot, adware, and mcafee. Could someone help me out to remove this pest. I've heard about sometimes it being a false positive, but I'm pretty sure its not because I keep gettng all these popups, for example, i'll be typing in a browser window, then bam, it redirects my page to some garbage ad. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You're using outdated HijackThis

Use this (http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/hijackthis_sfx.exe) link to get HijackThis.
Save it to your desktop and then double-click to run it.
It will install the program in c:\program files\HijackThis.
Browse to that location with windows explorer, and double click on the HijackThis.exe program to run. Choose the 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'
That will allow you to save the log to the desktop (or some other place) and leave open a notepad file with the HijackThis log in it.

Now post your HijackThis log into this topic.
