Hi,

I notice that you do not seem to be running Antivirus software and a Firewall. This is somewhat suicidal in today's digital world.
That's why I want you to install them first!!

Avira (http://www.free-av.com/), AVG (http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/) OR Active Virus Shield (http://www.activevirusshield.com/antivirus/freeav/index.adp) (uncheck the Security Toolbar during install) are good FREE antivirus.
Never install more than one antivirusscanner or firewall on your system! Several together can give problems and decrease the reliability of it seriously!
Comodo (http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/) OR Kerio (http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio.cfm) are FREE firewalls.

Understanding and using firewalls (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/index.php?showtutorial=60)

Reboot your computer afterwards.
After reboot, perform a full scan with your Antivirus and let it remove anything it is finding. Then reboot once again in order to delete files that were in use previously.

Post a new HijackThislog in your next reply - then we'll start from there, because it really makes no sense otherwise that we clean this up manually if an Antivirusscan is not present which should be able to deal with most and prevent further reinfection.

Ok,

Let's deal with the rest now..

* Download Combofix (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), combofix will open again to gather the necessary information for the log. This may take a bit. When done, Combofix will close and a log should open, combofix.txt.
Post the contents of this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Hi,

Are you receiving help somewhere else as well? Because this is confusing now...
I see some entries and files removed while ComboFix doesn't list them as removed.
Also related registry entries are gone and I didn't ask you to delete them yet..

So can you explain what you have been doing as well, apart from running Combofix? Because this is important to know.. this to make sure files and keys are really gone...

Edit, can you also post the contents of this log?: C:\ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt

oh, i forgot to mention that the antivirus quarantined about 8 virii upon finding them. would you like that list as well?

miekiemoes

i havent been getting help from anyone elseIt would have been nice if you told me before... Because of this, the logs don't really make sense since I don't know what other instructions you have been following.
Can you point me to the thread where you also received help?

i forgot to mention that the antivirus quarantined about 8 virii upon finding them. would you like that list as well? No, no need to. It's normal that your Antivirus may still find some leftovers, especially present in the C:\Qoobox folder. So, delete the C:\Qoobox - folder

Post a new HijackThislog in your next reply.
