Background: Our family, four user computer was infected with smitfraud and virtumonde, as well as trojan.printspool. By reading through the forums here, using the utilities, and walking through, checking, and eliminating services and rogue processes, I've been able to clean most of it. Right now I have AVG running as we always have, but I also have installed and running Avast antivirus during this critical period, and I run AVG antispyware and Lavasoft Adaware free, as well as the latst spybot 1.4. I also installed a trial of PDG (doorguard) but that seems to be doing very little; it doesn't even show up in the limited accounts.
I can't seem to get rid of smitfraud, at least on the limited accounts, and only according to Spybot SD. No one else finds it.
