Infected - Trojan.Vundo

[warp speed]

Well, I never thought it would happen to me, but it did. I was in a rush and click on a link on a webpage, and at thte same time said Nooooooo! I then received a payload of virus. I did get some of them cleaned up, but I have a couple that I can't get rid of. It is the Torjan.Vundo virus. Once I connect to the internet it comes back, and brings a couple others with it. I have run my anti-virus (Symantec Corp 10.1) and it catches it and requires a reboot, but then it's back again. I have ran the removal tool from there site, but it still comes back. I also had the smitfreud-c, but the removal tool seems to have removed it, unless that is why I keep getting the trojans. Below is my Hijackthis log file....Thanks for any help you may have.

You show the newest version in the log, check in Add Remove programs and uninstall any old versions. Uninstall anything you know does not belong there while you are at it, if you are unsure let me know and I will look.

Do you know what this service is?

1) You are running HJT from an unsafe Temp folder, backups can not be safely stored, use the directions in the links to move it to a safe location:
C:\Documents and Settings\Barry\Local Settings\Temp\wz2a18\HijackThis.exe

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.
You may reverse this for safety when we are finished.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

5) WinPatrol need to be turned off also, right-click the running icon of Winpatrol in the system tray and choose exit. It will automatically restart at next boot.

6) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - ~CFBFAE00-17A6-11D0-99CB-00C04FD64497} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8A61098D-612B-4EF2-943D-64E920684061} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\qomkkli.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E1B1FF5B-2247-4DDD-8EA1-647B04EFF97C} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GPLv3] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\lvpdqdan.dll",realset
O20 - Winlogon Notify: vtsqq - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtsqq.dll (file missing)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

7) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\lvpdqdan.dll <<< delete that file

(if that file gives you trouble use this tool and instructions)

8) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart and post a new HJT log and any information I requested.
