View Full Version : Daemon Tools and Ardamax keylogger...

I use Daemon Tools to launch my Rush DVDs from my HDD. Suddenly it is being flagged as having the ardamax keylogger in it and I'm wondering if it isn't a false positive. Here is a snip from the Resident.log;
6/22/2007 10:20:32 PM Encountered and terminated Ardamax in C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe!
6/23/2007 8:21:53 AM Encountered and terminated Ardamax in C:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT\00078555.exe!
00078555.exe is required for Daemon Tools to function.
Please shed some light on this for me.

FWIW Im also getting the exact same notification at startup. Spybot is telling me that 'daemon.exe' at 'C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\' and it advises to kill the process, but I dont get the recycler notification.
This just started a couple of mornings ago. Im getting this on the wifes pc also.
I run a full system scan and nothing is found.
Spybot wont let me start DT at all. I'll wait for an update before proceeding.

Daemon tools process was killed every time I try to open it.
Btw is there a way to unblock the process?

Sorry the delay, the forum didn't let me know there were responses as it should have.
I uninstalled then reinstalled DT after cleaning it. I'm still getting the same issue. Hopefully it's a false positive. So let's hurry up and wait for some feedback. :laugh:

yes it is a false positive, it will be resolved with the next update.
Please remember to restart the teatimer for the update to take effect in this case.
