Welcome to Safer Networking, if you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, it appears you have missed some important instructions our administrator has posted at the top of the forum, especially this: "BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please read and follow all instructions and post all required logs or reports, anything less will slow your process.
Use "Post Reply" to post the information in the instructions and stay in the same topic.

Hello Michael, those instruction I posted are also pinned to the top of the forum, if you read and follow those directions I will have a better idea if I can help.

When it becomes time to download HJT, please follow these instructions:
Download Trend Micro Hijack This™
http://hijack1.trend-braintree.com/hjt/eval/HijackThis.exe
Download it to your Program Files folder.
Doubleclick the HijackThis_V2.exe to start it.
Click "Do a System Scan and save a logfile"
This will create a HijackThislog.
Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply

Thanks...Phil

Michael, I apologize, I thought Trend Micro named the executable differently. Hackers have figured out how to hide vundo infections from HijackThis.exe. Would you rename it, call it michael.exe or anything you wish. That should show the infection after a reboot.

I need to make you aware of this backdoor trojan also:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipmon.exe

It is nasty, have a look: http://www.symantec.com/en/ca/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2002-102118-2337-99&tabid=2
The Trojan can do any of the following:
Deliver system and network information to the hacker
Modify system configurations
Open/close the CD-ROM drive tray
Restart/close Windows
Execute/copy/delete/rename files

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ipmon.exe&btnG=Google+Search

I would have called your attention to this right away had I know it was there. If you prefer to reformat, just let me know, if not post that new HJT log and we will get about cleaning out the junk. I suggest you stay offline except when troubleshooting to deny the hackers access.

Thanks
