Hey guys. First time poster, and I have to admit I'm so frustrated with this computer I'm ready to wipe it clean and start fresh. But the inconvenience of doing that has made me post here for help.

Upon bootup I get an error - it happens a good 20-30 seconds after I boot up, and then my computer becomes extremely difficult to work with. More often than not all the programs simply stop working, and I have to physically turn off the machine.

Here is the error:

"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

When I click to get more information it gives me:

szAppName : svchost.exe
szAppVer : 5.1.2600.2180
szModName : wuaueng.dll
szModVer : 7.0.6000.374
offset : 0014d1a9

Specs on my computer:

AMD 3200+ with 1 gig of ram
Windows XP Home, SP2

I have tried to update the latest Windows Updates but I actually can't get Internet Explorer to run properly - the site won't work - I will say that I'm updated up until a month ago or so.

I have read through a few other help threads and found that NoLop! is a good program to use as well, so I have included a log from that scan as well. The HJT log above is from AFTER this scan.

Hello.

We ask only for a HJT log and the results of an on-line anti virus scan. ;)

Running fixes when the infection has not been analysed, can make things more difficult for our helpers.

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

For people waiting who have not resolved their problem, we have a sticky topic:
If you have waited FOUR days for advice post here. (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?p=4836#post4836)

However if members waiting for assistance do not post there, their topic is archived after seven days.

If you need the thread re-opened, please send me a private message (pm) and provide a link.
