My problems started a few days ago, poor internet connectivity and programs behaving erratically. Also in VZAccessManager it showed unkown "Other connections" with an Error 25 or 23. I Checked my list of programs running and Services.exe caught my eye. Later on I found out it was just a windows Program but also that it could be a trojan horse that replaced the original Services.exe. What was really interesting is that I attempted to Cut and Paste services.exe from my windows sys32 directory to my desktop, at which point it copied itself to the desktop and subsequent attempts to delete this "Copy" were unsuccessful saying "Access is denied". Recently I have been locked out of altering my Internet Options on IE Explorer 7.0 and I cannot change my homepage. I am using Windows Vista 32bit Home Premium Edition and my programs recently have been starting and stopping erratically in a more noticeable manner, and because I have 2 gigs of RAM I doubt the issue is a lack of memory. My computer is a Hewlett Packard Notebook, the DV2000. I have only one account with Vista and it is an Administrator account. Attempts to forcefully delete the seperate copy of Services.exe on my desktop via certain commands utilized in Safe Mode Command Prompt were also unsuccesful. Attempts to locate registry values were unsuccesful as well. AVG Antivirus Free and Windows Defender as well as Spybot S&D and Adware have not detected anything related to Services.exe, and the AVG Rootkit detector has not detected anythng unusual at all along its line of specialty. Help would be appreciated at the convenience of whomever it concerns.
Thankyou and have an excellent day.
