I use a file transfer program called "Frostwire" which is similar to "Limewire". I am showing connection speed of turbocharged (very fast) and use a cable modem. Speed checks at several sites show download capabilities of over 6mb, yet I cannot download anything at speeds over 15kb.
Is there a possibility that SB is someway slowing things down in the background by checking incoming files? I have tried closing SB, AVG virus, and Process Checker before starting downloads with no luck. I have changed the listen and receive ports in my modem too. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
