Not Sure if I have a spyware problem...

or not? Maybe only a hardware issue? When I boot up the computer I get an initial message reading that "CPU is unworkable or has been changed. Please check _CPU soft menu".

Further down the screen it reads "Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter set up. Pressing F1 the computer boots up and seemingly operates normally. Slow only occassionally. I have entered the soft menu but my knowledge is so limited that I have not attempted to do anything.

I have read the rules; done the online virus scan and it states that no infection found (no log seems to be generated). I have updated and run S & D on safe mode and again found nothing.

I am attaching the HJT log (I hope I got this right) and would be extremely grateful if someone could tell me if there is a problem and how to fix it.

Chances are this is not a malware problem, but I can not be sure until I see your HJT log. You may want to look at this information:
