I am a Spybot newbie, having just started using it as my second program on top of Norton Internet Security 10.0.3.3. I know to disable Norton's antivirus and antispyware components when I run Spybot. This is the second time I ran Spybot. Like the first, I got a problem list full of tracking cookies. That first time, I remember initially seeing in the list something about Microsoft's Windows Security Center as the scan progressed, but that no longer appeared when the scan fiinished and the list was final. This time it's in the list. It reads: Microsoft.WindowsSecurityCenter_disabled. When I click on the plus sign, I see this setting: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wscsvc\Start!=W=2. Under the Kind column "Registry change" is listed, next to a symbol of a disintegrating cube. A finger appears when I place the cursor over it. Clicking on it gives me the Registry Editor window, where MS131-RC1 is highlighted in the left window. The right window shows two entries under Name, Type, and Data. The first is an icon with "ab" in it and (Default) next to it, REG_SZ, and (value not set). The second has the same icon with four blue letters in it and System Component next to it, REG_DWORD, and 0x00000001 (1).
Since this is the registry and I have no idea what's going on (and Norton never gives me decisions like this to make, so I have no experience or context for making judgments), I'm hesitant to ask Spybot to fix this without knowing what's wrong to begin with or whether something really needs fixed. My computer's been working fine (as far as I can tell), and I'm hesitant to fix something sensitive that may not be broke. Can anyone explain what Spybot is flagging for me in this case? Thanks.
