Hello ShaunH84 and welcome to the Forums :)
Let's see...
1. Download this file - combofix.exe (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe)
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Hello :)
OK I need another log..
Make a new folder in the C:\drive called silentrunners
Download 'silent runners" from here: (direct download)
http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.vbs
Save it to your silentrunners folder.
Click start> run> type cmd and hit enter
Type the following exactly and hit enter after each line.
cd c:\silentrunners and hit enter
"silent runners.vbs" -all and hit enter
Wait until it pops up saying its completed, then post the resulting logfile here
It will be very large. You may need several posts to include everything

hi and thanks again -
Upon running silentrunnersd as you said, I was given this message
"Silent Runners" cannot use WMI to identify the operating system. This is caused by corruption of the WMI installation.
WMI is complex and it is recomended that you use a misrosoft tool, "WMIDiag.vbs," to diagnose WMI on your system.
Press "OK" to direct you browser to the WMIDiag download site or "Cancel" to quit.
Let me know
Ok let's see, a component is missing...
Please download and install this utility -> Link (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d7ba3cd6-18d1-4d05-b11e-4c64192ae97d&displaylang=en)
Restart the computer and try running Silent Runners again :bigthumb:

Hi,
Tried exactly what you said and was presented with the same message. Anyh other ideas?
Thanks!
ok we'll use another tool then..
Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/Deckard/dss.exe) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.
Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt to your post. in your reply
