Hi, My Dell E1705/9400 laptop has gotten slower. it takes too long to get an IP address when I close the laptop cover. It used to just keep the old IP and now it searches for almost a minute. Sometimes I get an Intel ProSet troubleshooting error.

Webshots will not let me download photos using Firefox anymore. I've run SpySweeper, SpyCatcher and SpyBot S&D. I would like to upload the Trend Micro HijackThis file for help.

I've never done this before. So, I don't know if I'm giving enough info...but, any, all help is appreciated.

All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Hello, since you appear to be a new member, I will give you information to help you.

1) Read the directions first, they are posted at the top of the forum, I also posted them above and they are imporant.

2) Post all logs in Normal Mode unless I request otherwise.

3) You are running MSConfig (System Configuration Utility) in Selective Startup, I need to see the logs in Normal Startup Mode, if you have malware turned off I would not know it is there.

4) Programs like SpySweeper and SpyCatcher use a lot of resources, may conflict with each other, and will surely slow a computer. Let me know what you own and what you do not so I can advise you.

5) I see Site Advisor by McAfee, but no other antivirus program? It is cyber-suicide to go online anymore with out one. It may be the AV is not showing because of Safe Mode? Make me aware if you need a free antivirus program.

6) As I said, I am not seeing all that may be on the computer, but I do see this junk running:

7) Your issues my have to do with your ISP, have you discussed your problems with them? Here is some information you can review.
