Hello! Following the instructions found in one of the forums i have attempted to remove spyaxe from my computer. hopefully i will never see it ever again, but if someone could check my logs to see if i need to get rid of anything else from my HijackThis logs that would be great. I'll post each log individually to make this easier (maybe).
So first up is my first HijackThis log:

Hi, thanks for the reply- I've followed your instructions and my most recent HijackThis log is copied below. I have only had one other problem- i launched HijackThis before so that i could fix/delete the items you listed above. In
the process of the selected items being fixed/removed, a message
appeared telling me that there had been a problem, and to email this
address (merijn@spywareinfo.com) detailing what version of windows i use (windows XP). the message i received is pasted in below. however when i tried emailing this address my email was returned with the message "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently". Does my computer still have problems? is there anything else on my HijackThis log that i need to fix?
Thanks very much for all your help so far,
Harry373

After you install the newer version its important to uninstall the old versions, via addremove programs.
Once thats done
Post a fresh hijackthis log please, be sure to mention any current problems.

I think ive just recently installed that java update- in my add/remove programmes i have a 'J2SE runtime environment 5.0 update 6' - is that it? in the same list i also have updates 3 and 4 - should i remove them? one last thing- i use norton antivirus, however the mcaffee software is antispyware since i don't have norton antispyware- can these two work together ok? Thanks again for all the help- have had no further problems so far.. -Harry373

Hi
Keep 5.0 update 6' and uninstall the other older versions
I am not sure if you can uninstall just the antivirus part of mcaffee and still keep its antispyware,
Norton is not well thought of in the antimalware help forums.
In my opinion its best to rely on SpyBot, Ad-Aware and possible spysweeper for antispyware.
Its always best to only have One antivirus one firewall and one antispyware resident, you can still run adaware/spybot or spysweeper to clean up just dont use all of there resident type protections at the same time.

ok ive uninstalled the older java versions. the mcafee software i bought was anti-spyware only, and the norton software i have is only antivirus (not antispyware) - maybe its best i get mcafee antivirus instead when norton runs out after what you've said..? thanks very much for all your help, spyaxe is gone (hopefully forever) with no other problems. if i could maybe just get the link to that spysweeper antispyware. my final HijackThis log (hopefully) is below. Thanks again so much for all your help- i can use my computer with peace of mind again..

Hi
That log looks fine
When norton runs out (If you have a choice) i recommend Kaspersky, Nod32 or AVG7
Spysweeper is a trial though
