Hi,

Blade81 recently helped me fix malware problems on my laptop. Hopefullt someone can help me fix similar problems on my desktop.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

Done what you said and here is the Hijackthis log file. No malware issues are jumping out at me at the minute apart from computer staring alot slower in normal mode than in safe mode, slower than you normally would expect.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

Those two lines are being kept there by one of your programs. I want you to know they are not malware, just registry settings being made by your Internet Explorer. This information might help:

We usually have problem with Spyware programs blocking the registry changes, but I see none of the normal culprints. I will guess some of the new McAfee stuff is blocking the registry change. If you want them gone (and I will say again they are not malware) try going offline, closing McAfee, removing them with HJT then reboot (which will restart McAfee) and hopefully they will be gone.

The other item is called Netster, I have supplied you with information about the junk and I suggest you remove it with HJT. If you look back to the first set of removal instructions, that item was part of what was supposed to be removed.
