sorry i didnt do online scan i dont have internet explorer. the reason im requesting help is because when I ran spybot virtumonde showed up and when i read the discription it said that could be hard to remove so i just want to make sure it is gone. Anyway here is my hjt

Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
Nothing showing in the log and the dead BHO's do not identify. Let's try this.
1) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm
Once you get it moved, rename HJT, call it noley.exe or whatever you wish.

MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) even though it is outdated. You have also provided little information, you need to tell us why you think you have malware. If it is something Spybot finds and can't remove, you can ask about that here:

4) Let's have combofix take a look:

Download ComboFix from Here (http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) or Here (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe) to your Desktop.
Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Ok first I just want to say thanks for your time, and please bare with me im not computer savy. I do have internet explorer:oops: i was having a hard time finding it, it wasnt on my desktop or programs but I found it and did the online scan it said no virus's detected but I didnt see anywhere to save a log file again not computer savy. as far as what has been going on with the computer is: my girlfriend downloaded a tool bar that was supposed to tell the local weather since then i have been getting pop ups. I ran spybot s&d and it said that I had virtumonde the discription next to it said that it was a program that duplicated it self and may be difficult to get rid of . so thats why im here today trying to make sure I have a healthy computer. anyway heres the combo fix report

Thanks for returning your information and your feedback. combofix found an removed some nasty stuff, let's first look at this:

Review that information and show it to her. Then go to:
C:\Documents and Setting\Application Date\cassy and delete anything having to do with that junk. If you are not sure, look at the link I provided under this heading:
1. COVERT ANALYSIS OF: WEATHERSTUDIO348.DLL and you can see all of the possible junk that exploit put there.
Follow these instructions:
1) TeaTimer MUST be off
2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Thanks again for all your support the computer seems to be working great right now. It seems a lot faster and havent got pop ups. I did however download that program that you gave me a link to prevx 2.0 and did a scan it said that I had 1 malware file it was called c:\windows\catchme.exe I didnt want to delete it untill you gave me the ok. I also deleted everything that looked relevant to the weatherstudios. should I be worried about having personal info on my computer or that someone could have got a password? or is this just annoying stuff that was lagging up my computer? Thanks for returning your HJT log and the feedback:bigthumb: I see no malware in the HJT log and Kasperky is clean. Let's hope we killed all of the junk. Please rename HJT if you wish and remove from your computer any tools we downloaded for this work. You may keep ATF-Cleaner if you wish, it is a nice small tool. I notice Prevx running and it is a large resource user. If you do not own that product, you would want to uninstall it from your computer. Let's do this now: System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
