Hello,
My problem is basically what the topic says. A few weeks ago my Dad's computer got infected with a legion of spyware, viruses, and trojans. A combination of Norton antivirus and spybot got rid of all but one of them, PWS.LDPinchIE. Well, actually, spybot got rid of PWS.LDPinchIE but it keeps on reappearing on reboot. If I run spybot and get rid of it, and then run spybot again a few hours later, it confirms that there are no problems. However, if I reboot and then run spybot, PWS.LDPinchIE shows up again. How do I get PWS.LDPinchIE removed permanently? This is my first post ever to a spyware forums so I hope I am doing this right, please forgive me if I am doing something wrong.

If I understand correctly, I am supposed to attach my HJT log, which is here:

And I ran the online virus scanner at http://www.ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx, which detected and removed one thing but I don't know how to post the log from there, I would be happy to run the scan again and post a log if someone would tell me how

Any help at all would be appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

PS: This is my dad's work computer, so I want to be cautious that I don't do anything that would interfere with his VPN or CAD software that he uses for work

I ran a tool that my friend suggested this morning, combofix, and that seemed to take care of it once and for all. :)

Sorry to waste your bandwidth and server space

Hi there.

You might want to post another HJT log for one of our helpers to advise you, and also see this sticky topic for future reference.
