After downloading a zip that I *thought* was ok, and AVG scan telling me it was ok, I opened it and turned out it had Virtumonde in it.
When it opened my computer immediately deleted the initial file it was on and crashed my computer in a matter of seconds, automatically rebooting it. When rebooted I came back and my background was gone (just a gray screen for my background) and computer booting up about 3x slower than normal (which only happened once). I replaced my background, and 2 seconds later I get a popup from Zone Alarm saying than a scan had found something. It identifies it as: not-a-virus:AdWare.Win32.Virtumonde.io and none of the solutions work. Repair, Delete, Quarantine or Rename. All of them fail. I tried deleting it on reboot and that was unsuccessful in removing it. So I tried to close the scan window to use Spybot or AVG and the Zone alarm window continues to reopen every 5 seconds after I close it. Spybot found it and identified it as just Virtumonde, saying I should come here to seek assistance in its removal. While it said it successfully removed it, and when I do a scan on spybot again it does not find it, Zone Alarm continues to reopen its window saying it found it. I even tried to delete the .dll it was attached to using a removal program that tried to remove it at restart (yea, I know, bad idea, I was pissed and desperate in my defense) and that failed. According to spybot the infection is gone, but Zone alarm begs to differ. Here is a HijackThis log I did 5 min before posting after my second spybot scan:

Hi MaserZeo

Rename HijackThis.exe to scanner.exe and post back a fresh HijackThis log, please :)
