So I have Norton Internet Security and haven't had problems in years (literally) until last night. My firewall pops up the following alters, since last night, starting with newest to oldest...

I quickly delete the temp folders but today I start getting weird pops for antivirus tools, spyware cleaners, etc.

It's like the thing is mocking me. Every time the thing forces itself to the surface (usually when I have IE open to run one of these free website programs.. I use Firefox for everything typically) something popups.. wincleaner, winfix, some weird antivirus program site. I have a feeling WinFix in that log is from the popup sites.

When I got to the Trojan.Vundo windows location, the file isn't there. I downloaded the free Vundo scanner/remover from Symantec and nothing. HELP!

I read on another website that a guy found some infected .dlls in his windows/help directory. I look in mine, and there are 4 .dlls there that when I delete them, respawn...

bnts.dll
sniffpol.dll
sstub.dll
tshoot.dll

Nothing seems to detect these infected files. I have Norton Antivirus, Adaware, (running Spybot right now), and the Windows Defender program. Windows XP SP2 has all the updates.

I downloaded hijackthis and renamed the .exe to scanner.exe as per the other post that seems to deal with Vundo. I'd really appreciate any help with this...

Hello.

Because of the amount of posts in your thread, helpers probably thought you were already being assisted. We ask for two logs only, the HJT and results of the on-line anti virus scan.
