Hello.

My computer at work is infected with the Smitfraud C.CoreService virus and I can not get rid of it. I have tried everything possible for 4 days now with no luck. I can't reboot in safe mode because I don't seem to have permission to do so and can't ask my system administrator how to do so for obvious reasons.

Administrative rights would be necessary in order to clean the machine.

As this is a work computer and not your PC, please inform your IT person asap so they can deal with it. Especially if the computer is networked.

Best regards.

Also, your username has been changed for your own safety, as googled it led to undesirable sites.
