View Full Version : can i get spybot to scan a 2nd drive

i have a couple of pcs one of which definately has a bot problem its continually resetinng and i can see dodgy process' in task manager, as soon as spybot gets to em the pc resets same point in scan every time, i want to plug in the primary hd of this pc into my other as a slave and use the s&d from this drive to scan and fix the other thus preventing the reset is this possible if so how please let me know

I'm sorry but I don't think that Spybot-S&D itself is going to help you with this particular problem on that one PC. Unlike anti-virus programs and some other anti-spyware programs, Spybot does not do an in-depth scan of every file on the primary drive and there are no settings within Spybot to do an in-depth scan of every file on a secondary or external drive. I personally think that you would be better off if you posted in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum and have someone take a look at that particular system.
