My spybot won't check for problems

When I try to check for problems a message comes up 'You need to install the detection updates first by using the intergrated update or the manual updater. I have only downloaded spybot today and I have no idea how to do this?

Go into Spybot > Update > click the "Search for updates" button > check everything found > then click the "Download updates" button.

Similar issue, but with the ignore list

I have a similar issue with not scanning for problems, but on further investigation, I don't have any items in my ignore problems list. I've successfully performed the updates, but there is nothing showing and scans take .13 seconds to complete! Help? :buried:
