Sorry I had to post it in two parts, wouldn't fit into one post.

I also tried to run the online checks. Kasperspy had problems downloading the updates and fsecure hadn't finished after 14 hours, I will run it again if neccessary.

I know yesterday I had backdoor.win32.eggdrop.v and p2p-worm.win32.vb.dw on my computer. I've deleted various things via virus checks but I still believe they're on the comp since it's running very slowly, particularly on startup. There were other things found in the checks but they seemed to be the main two.

Help would be much appreciated. Let me know if you need any other logs etc. Thanks.

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.

All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Have you resolved your problems yet? If not, I can make no promises, but I will do my very best to help you with them.

Before we start, could you help us both by doing something about all of those 018 lines caused by Logitech Desktop Messenger.
For your information, all of the 018 items in the log are the result of the Logitech Desktop Messenger which gets installed along with another Logitech program because the EULA agreement is not read. Unless you know what it is and use it, it is a resource waster and can be removed in Add Remove programs, but make sure you uninstall only what I highlite in red, this is optional:
C:\Program Files\Logitech\Desktop Messenger\ <<< uninstall only the program in red.

While you are in Add Remove programs, this program is obsolete, purchased and released by Grisoft as AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5, uninstall the old program.
C:\Documents and Settings\James H\Desktop\security suite\ewidoctrl.exe

You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0
Grisoft\AVG7
Uninstall one of those.

Once you get to this point, post a new HJT log and tell me about any malware problems. Do you best to describe them and post and error messages you receive "word for word" and a new HJT log. We do have more work to do.

Thanks

Thanks for replying.

I have uninstalled Logitech's Desktop manager and kasperspy 6.0, so I only have AVG now.

I've run alot of scans since posting and nothing is really being found now. I'm still suspicious that something might be on it though because it's running so much slower than it was before, especially on startup where it's very slow.

This is the HJT log from a few mins ago.

Thanks for a log we can work with, I see junk that needs to go, this may take a little time. I'll remove what I see and run a scan to look for hidden malware and do some cleaning, but first a question.
O23 - Service: F-Secure BlackLight Sensor - F-Secure Corporation - C:\DOCUME~1\JAMESH~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\F-Secure\Anti-Virus\fsblsrv.exe
Did you install BlackLight to run from your services like this? If this was a trial you tried, disable it in services and uninstall/delete it from your computer.

1) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

2) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

3) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

4) Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:

* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here along with a new HJT log.

Thanks

I did what you said regarding HJT and removed them entries.

Wasn't sure how to get rid of blacklight though, do I just delete the file? That wont uninstall it will it?

Thanks for returning your information, somehow (probably me) we missed an old McAfee line:
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BA52B914-B692-46c4-B683-905236F6F655} - (no file)
You can use HJT to remove the line if you wish, it is not malware, just debris.

Here is the BlackLight item and I am not sure where you put it?
O23 - Service: F-Secure BlackLight Sensor - Unknown owner - C:\DOCUME~1\JAMESH~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\F-Secure\Anti-Virus\fsblsrv.exe (file missing)
according to this it is running from the TEMP folder in red. I would think ATF-Cleaner would have cleaned that TEMP folder?
Just to be sure navigate to that folder and delete the contents. A few old files might remain, but BlackLight will be deleted if it is in there.

You may need to disable it in services first like this:
Disable the Service Click Start > Run and type services.msc
Scroll down to F-Secure BlackLight Sensor and right click on it.
Click Properties and under Service Status click Stop, then under Startup Type change it to Disabled.
I have never seen it running from there before.

The balance of the HJT log as well as the Kaspersky scan are clean. Since you mentioned slow performance, have a look at these links to see if they help:

http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/getstarted/speed.mspx?wt_svl=20292a&mg_id=20292b

You can keep ATF-Cleaner if you wish but delete all other tools we downloaded for the cleanup, then do this:
System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

So I'm done then, completely clean?

I've done everything you said in that lost post.

Thanks alot for helping me out - it's even running better after the ATF cleaner.
