Hijacker of home page

I have a hijacker in my home page display when I set it to Yahoo . com and shut down and restart my computer it goes to /awesomehomepage.com/newsletter.php?list=thissiterocks Now how do I get rid of this problem I have downloaded spybot search and destroy and ran it once but the problem was not fixed. Is there a way to get an update for this active-x or a hidden file I can delete?
