Where can I get the Browser Helper plugin?

My scans have been clean, and I generally don't use Explorer much, but I would like to instal this plugin.

Though my scans have been good, I see this message on S&D:

Browser Helper to stop bad downloads is NOT installed.

I looked on the S&D download page, and could not find anything about a Browser Helper.

Also, the box for this feature: Enable permanent blocking of bad addresses in Internet Explorer....is unchecked, but it won't let me check it, the box stays empty.

You couldn't find anything on the download page about the browser helper,because it's included with Spybot when you download it.

Normally,you'd just check the box next to:Enable permanent blocking of bad addresses in Internet Explorer.

Since you can't check the box,it sounds to me like the browser helper might be missing.

You can look,to be sure,by going to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy,and seeing if there is a sdhelper.dll in that folder.

If it's not in there,you might have to uninstall/reinstall Spybot to get the browser helper,since I don't see anywhere that has a current version of the sdhelper.dll.I'll put up some links,for in case you need them.

You can look,to be sure,by going to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy,and seeing if there is a sdhelper.dll in that folder.I just looked and that dll is not in there. I guess I'll reinstall then. Do you have any idea why it would be missing? Thanks Zen

The .dll might be missing,if you had a variant of coolwebsearch that deletes sdhelper.dll in the past.

Otherwise,I wouldn't worry about the sdhelper.dll going missing too much,unless it disappears again.If it disappears again,post back.
