Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance)
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Hello Zoe, what program is telling you about "zlob" and what is it showing you? If this is Spybot S&D, be sure it is completely updated and totally immunized and then run according to the directions in the "Before you Post" instuctions.

You have other issues we need to address:

1) Please view this: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02\ <<< out of date, download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in add remove programs.

2) C:\DOCUME~1\zoe\LOCALS~1\Temp\Rar$EX01.547\HijackThis.exe
HJT is running from an unsafe Ttemp folder and it is an out of date version, delete it completely from your computer.

3) Download a self-installer from here: http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe
Follow the prompts, the program will install where it is supposed to.

4) http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php <<< download Smitfraudfix from here and follow ONLY these directions.

Search:
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/processutil/processutil.htm

Post any information I requested and the C:\rapport.txt only.

Thanks

initially it was pc-cillin that found zlob.........

i then downloaded spyhunter to search and remove.......it did find it several times and has since removed it or appears to have done, no pop ups anymore or security warnings in the taskbar.....

spyhuter was showing infected regsirty files.

I have now got spybot running and updated.

Hope this makes sense to you...........thanks for the help.

Zoe

Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, you can see that Smitfraudfix found the infection, follow these instructions to remove it.

http://siri.geekstogo.com/SmitfraudFix.php <<< tutorial if needed

Clean:
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Optional:
To restore Trusted and Restricted site zone, select 3 and hit Enter.
You will be prompted: Restore Trusted Zone ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to delete trusted zone.
Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE-SPYAD, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE-SPYAD, run the batch file and reinstall the protection.

Post the C:\rapport.txt and a new HJT log, tell me how the computer is running now.

Thanks

A little more work to do, first have a look at this item:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpyHunter] C:\Program Files\Enigma Software Group\SpyHunter\SpyHunter.exe -scan
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm#sh_note
I suggest you remove this item from your computer.

Please look at this item and make me aware you have it set like that on purpose:
O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-21-4273506989-1611850543-2411730648-1006\..\Run: [MsnMsgr] "C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger\MsnMsgr.Exe" /background (User 'Tamara')

Follow these instructions:
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {193C772A-87BE-4B19-A7BB-445B226FE9A1} (ewidoOnlineScan Control) - http://downloads.ewido.net/ewidoOnlineScan.cab
(obsolete)
O16 - DPF: {DF780F87-FF2B-4DF8-92D0-73DB16A1543A} (PopCapLoader Object) - http://zone.msn.com/bingame/popcaploader_v10.cab
(adware)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

I would like to run one good scan to make sure nothing is hiding from us, if you do not believe the scan is needed, simply make me aware and I will give you closing information.

Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.

Then post it here.

Thanks
