My aunt's computer: wuauclt.exe illegal instruction

My aunt has been getting this message:


C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe<br>The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.<br>CS:0de2 IP:001d OP:ff ff ff ff ff Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

When we close it, it just comes back.

See if you can find your answer there, this is probably not a malware issue.

I see no malware in this log, here is what I do see.

1) HJT version is out of date, delete this version completely from your computer.
C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HiJackThis_v2.exe

2) Download this self-installer here: http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe
Follow the prompts and it will install where it is supposed too.

3) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly.
