I think I have a problem.

I have no idea if I have an inherent problem or a virus. All I know is when I run Spybot it shows one problem, Grokloader and fixed it.

Then I run Ad-aware and it reports 3 errors and stops half way through the scan,

then I run AVG anti-spyware and it reports 6 errors then stops half way through the scan,

both the above stop and different places . . .

I've checked HD integrity, all ok!

I do have one partition for games, which I intend to delete soon.

So I figure I may need a little advice here, I checked what I needed to do on the "BEFORE you post" post and figured it would not hurt to run this procedure even if I have no virus.

So I run Spybot again, no problems and move onto the next step.
I run Kaspersky On-line and this also hangs at the same place as AVG Anti Spyware, but not before reporting 3 viruses.
I have now tried three different Anti Virus/Spyware programs and they all Stop!!!!

Ad-Aware at one point
AVG Anti Spyware & Kaspersky on-line at another point while Maxtor HD checker reports no errors on the hard disk?

any ideas,
Why is it stopping?
Do I have a virus problem or other? and if other what?

I have not done this before, how long do I wait?
Or would it be easier if I just re-format the hard drive?
(it would be nice to find out though)

As Ive noticed others getting replies and as they posted after this post i'll put a log up. As I understand in the rules I should not do this until asked, as other do not follow this recommendation and they get a response then I guess I suppose I should do the same.

hi scabby,

dont see any malware in the log. only use one malware apps real time protection. dont use spybot tea timer and avg guard and i think ad aware has a real time protection in the paid version.
you can try booting into safe mode and running your stuff just to see if it completes and to make sure no malware is present.
to reach safe mode you would tap the f8 key during a computer restart. chose the first option from the list: safe mode. once at the safe mode desktop run your stuff. afterwards reboot computer normally.
