Im not sure where to find a log of what i clicked on Allow Change for last that cause spybot to block IE from connecting to the internet. I get "The page cannot be displayed" every time i try to open a browser. If i go thru my control panel and choose Windows Update however, I can just use this window to access the internet. HELP PLS! :red:

TeaTimer records a log of activties in the Resident.log file.
There are several ways to access the Resident.log file:
Right click on the TeaTimer (Spybot-SD Resident) system tray icon and select Show Log.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Tools > View Reports > View Previous reports. Select the Resident log file and open it.
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Resident.log file located in one of the following directories:
Windows 95 or 98:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows ME:
C:\Windows\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows NT, 2000 or XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs
Windows Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs

:spider: Hm, i went into the Logs folder but couldn't find a report that showed what I had allowed last. I am positive it happened on September 8th 2007, because before the allowed value happened i could connect like I normally do using IE6, after that happened i kept getting the pg cannot be displayed.. pls see my screenshot of my log folder... maybe im not seeing the file i should be checking for that info... i opened almost all of em and none had a reference to a change made on 9/8/07:

In the screen shot you attached it appears that you selected but did not open the Resident.log file. The file displayed in the background looks like one of your Checks.yymmdd-hhmm.log files.

What should I do if i can't find the log that shows me what happened on that day?
I've tried unchecking SD Helper and Tea Timer and checking to see if the browser will connect after making that change, but its still showing up as pg cant be disp....
I also tried unselecting some of the options under Immunization... but that hasnt helped either.. gah. pls help! :spider:
BTW... here is a screenshot of the browser that works fine side by side with the one that doesnt work...

OH MAN i cant believe this... i went ahead and uninstalled Google Toolbar and it seemed to have worked... but i also uninstalled a few extra progs that were just sitting dormant on my comp.... so now a new list of allow/ deny changes were coming up... i assumed they were all related to the uninstallations but when i allowed them all... the problem started up again... pls look at my recent resident.log info below:

violent.kouffz:
You seemed to indicate that you fixed the problem but you received addition registry change dialog messages and the problem returned. If these addition registry change dialog messages occurred after you restarted the system it may be because TeaTimer's snapshot files are out of sync with the registry.
TeaTimer takes snapshots of Registry entries and compares these with the Registry to determine changes to the Registry. When TeaTimer starts the snapshot files are read into memory and maintained there. In TeaTimer 1.3 and 1.4 the snapshot files only appear to be rewritten when TeaTimer closes. During system shutdown (or restart) it appears that TeaTimer is terminated before it has a chance to rewrite the snapshot files. Until these snapshots are updated you are likely to get pop-ups (at startup) of changes you made in the past. In other words, TeaTimer attempts to return the Registry to the state it was in when the snapshots were taken. This happens primarily when you reboot the system.
If this is what is happening, fix the problem again and then refresh TeaTimer's snapshot files before you shut down or restart you system.
To refresh TeaTimer's snapshot files and correct the problem:
Right click Spybot's TeaTimer System Tray Icon > click Exit Spybot-S&D Resident.
TeaTimer closes.
TeaTimer's snapshot files are refreshed at this time.
Restart TeaTimer:
Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy.
Double click TeaTimer.exe to start it.

Well the way i fixed it from what i can tell, was by uninstalling google toolbar... should i just reinstall it and then uninstall it again to try to make it fix itself?
What i can do now which is definite progress at least is get to googles home page and even submit a search query... but when i try to click on any of the result links i get the dreaded pg cannot be displayed... what could be causing that?
thx again spybot fan - u rock!:crowned:

I'm sorry but I'm personally at a loss to explain why the only site that you can get to is Google.
