View Full Version : Cookies still detected after disabling "Cookies.sbi" file set.

Under the File Sets settings, I've unchecked "Cookies.sbi", "Security.sbi", and "SecurityC.sbi", so that cookies and Windows security settings won't be detected.

When I do a scan, it doesn't detect the security settings since I've disabled that file set. But it still detects lots of cookies...

It seems the only way I can make it -actually- ignore cookies is by going to Ignore Products, choosing the "Cookies.sbi" tab, and checkmarking all the cookies (which I have to do each time it updates, in case there are new ones added). But why do I have to do that? Isn't that what disabling the file set is supposed to do?

I had the same problem in 1.4. Disabling Cookies.sbi didn't make it ignore cookies.

Please show us what is being detected by posting the log of the actual detections you are getting. To do that:
Run another scan.
When the scan completes, right click on the results list, select "Copy results to clipboard".
Then paste (Ctrl+V) those results to a new post in this thread.

Results posted below message.

As you can see, I've disabled the "Cookies.sbi" file set. And yet cookies are being detected when I do a scan.

Notes:

(1) Disabling any other file set works fine. It's only disabling Cookies.sbi that seems to get ignored.

(2) If I disable these cookies in the "Ignore Products" section, it will not detect them. But I don't want to have to do that every time the definitions are updated. I'd like to just disable the whole file set instead.
