Hi, welcome to Safer Networking!

Yes, please post the scan results.

Download combofix.exe (http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/Beta/ComboFix.exe)

1. Save it to your desktop.
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.
_______

HJT Uninstall list
Open HijackThis > Click "Misc Tools Section"
Click "Open Uninstall Manager".
Click "Save List".
Save it to your Desktop.
Copy the contents of the file to your next reply.

On your next reply, please include a
Fresh HijackThis log.

Hi, next time, you need not pm me anymore. I was prompt in my reply (within a day). FYI, I don't work here and I don't get paid. In fact, all of the helpers here are all volunteers and we use up our free time to help you guys. Of course we also have our own lives so please understand that sometimes, we can't reply as fast as you want us to.

However, it would help to pm me if I haven't replied to you for 3-5 days.
===

*A few optionals that I would recommend be uninstalled.

Shareaza version 2.2.5.0
Even when a program like this is not infected itself, it will still bring malware into your system because more than half of all files available for download from peer-to-peer networks have been deliberately infected with some form of malware. I recommend that you remove this program from your system.

Viewpoint Media Player
is a Viewpoint component which is installed as a side effect of installing other software, most notably AOL and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). Viewpoint Manager is responsible for managing and updating Viewpoint Media Player’s components. Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without user's approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". In 2006, this may change, read Viewpoint to Plunge Into Adware (http://www.clickz.com/showPage.html?page=3561546).

*Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the items I listed in bold if found.

Delete the following folders if you uninstalled their corresponding programs:

C:\progam files\shareaza
C:\program files\viewpoint

Hi,

No need for the whole log.

*You have remnants of Norton AntiVirus in your system..Please run the tool HERE (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/pfdocs/2005033108162039) to clean all the leftovers of your Norton Antivirus..

*Go to Start > Control Panel > Display Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop... > Web tab
Uncheck and Delete everything you find in there. (Except for "My Current Home Page.")

*Congratulations! Your log looks clean!

Make sure you re-enable all the security programs that you have temporarily disabled.

Configure Windows Xp to hide system files:

Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Do not show hidden files and folders.
Check the Hide protected operating system files option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

This is a good time to clear your existing system restore points and establish a new clean restore point:
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Select Create a restore point, and Ok it.

Next, go to Start > Run and type in cleanmgr

Select the More options tab

Choose the option to clean up system restore and OK it.

This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.

Thanks for confirming this and for your help on this issue. Will Spyboot now be issuing a patch to fix this false positive occurrence or shall I add it to my ignore list in Spybot's tools?

Should I post this false positive in the false postive thread of Spybot to alert and help others?

Thanks again.

You're most welcome.

No need to post it in the false positives thread. It's already been posted.

http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=18479

I'm sure they're working on it already.

Any more concerns I can help you with?
