I'm seriously infected by spyware-secure.com which, contrary to its name, is spyware itself rather than software to combat it. When I open firefox, and then frequently during browsing it opens pop-ups which either entice you to download Spyware Secure, or are general adverts for a wide range of products.

I've tried a lot of software (Spybot, AVG, Panda, Spyware Doctor) but nothing seems to be able to get rid of it.

Someone who posted to this forum recently (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=17615)
identified this as a rootkit problem (a term I'd never heard before this) and said AVG anti-rootkit worked for him. However AVG doesn't work on Vista, which I use, and I can't find another anti-rootkit program which can get rid of Spyware Secure.

Any ideas?? Many thanks,

Justin
