After Spy Axe

Hello to you all,
This is my first post on here and while I know a little I'm no expert.
I recently got infected with Spy Axe (incidentaly with Webroot Spy Sweeper, Microsoft Antispyware and McAfee Virus Scanner all running at the time) and succesfully got rid of it (eventually) with the extensive help of the people on Microsoft Windowsxp.general newsgroup, thanks indeed to them.
I've been advised to post my 'Hijack This' log on here as I am not conversant enough with what and what not to alter/delete in the information that it found. The scan was run with everthing disabled, Internet, McAfee, Firewall, the lot.
The system is XP Pro, only Windows Firewall, Microsoft Antispyware, Ewido Security Suite and MaCaffe Virus Scan, I changed to Ewido after it found masses of potentially harmfull stuff that SpySweeper did not.
If anyone has time to look at it and advise I would be most gratefull,

Hello Alan and welcome to the forum. First I would like to say that it is likely this infection, which is spyware/adware, was probably invited on the computer. It only takes a careless click on something that looks inviting and "free". If I am right and I have removed my fair share of the Smitfraud trojans spawn then most programs don't have a chance of stopping it, here is some information:

There is presently no silver bullet, good online habits and layered protection is your best chance.
I am not quite sure what you want now, if it is a validation your log is clean, I see only two lines that is clutter:
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
You can remove them with HJT but you may have to turn off your spyware programs or do it in safe mode. If you would like them gone, update your ewido scanner and then start the computer in safe mode:

Choose a complete system scan and remove anything located unless you have a doubt. I will tell you when I see the item. Save that scan report and post it.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

I suggest a cleaning of the Prefetch folder, review this information:

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete everything in this folder (NOT THE FOLDER)

If you have not run a good cleaner, I suggest this one with these instructions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Then post the ewido scan results and a new HJT log for a last check. I will say now that if you are satisfied with the way the computer is running, you can leave those two lines of clutter until another time if you wish. Just post back and let me know this is what you decided because I have some information to help you stay safe and clean I wish to give you.

Thanks very much for that. I'm sorry I didnt make it clear that I just wanted to know if there was anything in my log that should'nt be there.
If you think that those two lines wont do any harm I'll just leave it there as the computer is running fine, in fact after running all the programs to get rid of Spy Axe the machine is running better than it has for a long time. I suppose that as you get a gradual reduction in performance over an extended period of time you dont really notice it, you certainly do when its back to normal though,
