Can't uninstall 1.4

After many difficulties I installed version 1.5 in an folder S&D(2). So I could use 1.4 if 1.5 didn't work. Now it is impossible to uninstall 1.4, because unins000.dat has a format that is not supported by this version. Where can I find an intact copy of this file, or with which prog can I select in Folderoptions to open it. I tried several methods, but no result.
