Hello kedra, I would like to help you, but I do not see this item: Spy.exe
In this HJT log. I do see plenty of junk and what appears to be a trojan that needs to be removed. What I am concerned about is this statement:

I have followed all the steps for removal of this but I am now having Internet Explorer crash and a some problems with programmes not responding. When you say this, I do not know what "steps for removal" you used or what damage you may have done to your computer? Here is what I find when I google this item:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-26,GGLD:en&q=Spy%2Eexe

If you want me to try to help, post me a new HJT log, tell me why you believe you had/have this item and what steps for removal you used. Once I know what you have done, I will know if I can help you.

Thanks...pskelley

Hi thanks for looking. I know that spyexe was on the system as the homepage changed and new icons were appearing one of which was the spyexe icon, the pc would not respond to anything. AVG would not scan and was crashing and no peogrammes would run. The steps I took are as per the posting on this forum for removal of this.

You say you see a trojan on the hijack log, please could you point me in the right direction re where it is and how to remove it. None of our security systems has picked this up but I am still getting programmes crashing and not responding messages.

Much appreciated

If you would like me to proceed, this is what I would like for you to do:

1) C:\Program Files\HijackThis.exe <<< return here and right click a blank spot then make a new folder called HJT. Move the HijackThis.exe into that folder and it will look like this: C:\Program Files\HJT\HijackThis.exe and will be able to safely store logs and backups.
If you need more instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

2) Use these instructions to enable viewing of all files and folders for your operating system. Search Companion may not see these unless you do.
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

3) Use Search Companion to locate these files, you will need the location to check them, and to delete them later.
O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Microsoft Driver Updates] ocrxqh.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Driver Updates] ocrxqh.exe

4) Use these free online scans, at least two of the three, to validate rather these files are malware or not, post the results for me to view.
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

5) Post the results from the free online scans and a properly positioned HJT log in this same thread along with any feedback you have.

Thanks...Phil
