View Full Version : Google Redirect Problem

TonyV_D
2007-10-03, 03:09
Hey, I haven't been on my computer for a week and when I came back I've been having this problem on google. Every time I click on a link on google, it redirects me to another page, shedalight.com something around that. It would be appreciated if anyone of you could help me. This problem is really annoying me, I can't do my projects in peace.

P.S. Remind me if I forgot any steps, because I'm new here.

Thanks in advance.

Here's my HijackThis Log :

Hi TonyV_D

Hi TonyV_D

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. You are quite behind on your Windows Updates and Patches!!

The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Click here to get WinXP SP1a: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0136e5f8-1684-4202-b2d0-c6a43430f12a&DisplayLang=en)

Apply the update, reboot, then go to Windows Update and install all the Critical Updates (Note: Except for WinXP SP2)
Click here for Windows Update: http://www.windowsupdate.com/ (http://www.windowsupdate.com/)

After installing all the Patches and updates, reboot, then post a fresh Hijack This log.

Excuse me, but I tried to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, but it says error and other stuff. So I tried scanning with NoAdware and I noticed that this "ClearSearch" keep coming back after I delete it. It's says that ClearSearch is known to hijacking my internet setting. Everytime I try to clean it it always comes back.

Hi

What error did it say?

Go here (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/Validate.aspx)
and tell what it said.
