discovered a gripe about the updater

i was cleaning up my system and had everything unloaded from the system tray,

and by accident after i opened the program i clicked on the updater by habit, before i realized that the LAN connection was disabled and ran the updater;

then it did not detect that there was no Internet connection;
the program simply reported that there were no new updates.

impossible for the program to determine that if it could not reach the server to verify that.

but otherwise it is running just fine.
